This brief video provides defines seclusion and restraint, and provides parent and student perceptions about these interventions.  Created by the Connecticut Department of Children and Families and Klingberg Family Center in 2004 the video highlights efforts to reduce or eliminate the use of these procedures.     12 minutes

Interview with Sue Ann Wanklyn
This is an interview with the parent of a cognitively disabled child who is receiving much of his education in a setting secluded from other children.  The parent talks about the needs of her child, her concerns about his education, and her interaction with the school.        Approximately 51 minutes.

Pros & Cons
This television news analysis discusses the case of Abby Bowden in Cape Cod, Massachusetts and shows video of Abby being restrained in her school.  Abby is autistic and the restraints shown occurred in about 1998.  This has resulted in a court case.  Approximately 16 minutes

Red Apple, Wisconsin Journal Times
This report documents a school which used a Tifton chair to restrain an autistic preschooler, and is dated October 11, 2007.  The report shows primarily an interview with the parent.  Approximately 4 minutes.

This CBS news affiliate report documents the concerns of some parents who discovered that a padded room was being used to seclude students with disabilities.  Approximately 3 minutes.

This is a training video showing the restraint of an young adult man who becomes agitated during a case conference meeting, and is intended for training of hospital staff.  Approximately 5 minutes.

Jason Vignette
This is also a training tape for hospital personnel and show a boy who becomes agitated in a break room environment, and begins to throw furniture.  He is then restrained using a standing hold.  Approximately 1 minute.
